For over 45 years Macedonia Baptist Church has represented Jesus’ directives to be the light and salt in this community and region. For the past 13 years it has been my honor to be called its Pastor. Our history and heritage provide the launching pad for a wide-open future of mission and ministry.

Today, we find ourselves influencing so many parts of the world and standing as a viable and strong church in our nation and state. With our ministries and membership climbing we are bound for new heights as we accept the challenge that our modern culture brings to the church. Keeping our standards high and our eyes focused on Jesus, we are expecting God to keep growing us in every aspect.

As your Pastor, I am encouraging you to do four very simple, yet critical things – something I am calling “Intentionally Connecting U” or “ICU”.

1. Connect to God through the various forms of worship and gathering that we offer.
2. Connect to others through a small group and/or Bible Study class.
3. Connect to serve through a ministry team or expanded ministry of our church.
4. Connect to the world through the various mission opportunities close to home and away.

Now how hard is that? Probably harder than it needs to be, because so many of us are unwilling to go straight to our source of “connection.” In John 15, Jesus says, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” Let’s make our relationships, experiences and Kingdom work count for everything possible by staying true to our source of Life and Light.

My desire is that you will join in the work God is doing in this place and be more determined than ever to serve out the individual and collective purposes God has instilled in you. If you are new to our church or perhaps seeking a place to call “home,” then ‘come on over to Macedonia’ and allow the God we serve to fill your life with hope and meaning. There are many ways to serve God and develop your faith by becoming a dedicated follower of Jesus. Most everything we do “in church/for God” is driven by people just like you who want to enhance the life of our church and assist people in becoming better connected with each other, our church, and God.

We invite you to come and get a first-hand experience of the people; the ministries; the times and places where we have all experienced God working in our lives: and the multiple generations that God has held in place to insure that His church – the church we call Macedonia – will continue to move forward into the future with courage and grace.
