Heaven’s Heart

 

Heaven's Heart is Macedonia Baptist Church's ministry to senior adults of MBC and the surrounding community.  Monthly fellowships are held on the second Monday of every month from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, with special programs that include fun activities and occasional guest speakers/musicians. Heaven's Heartbeat, a monthly newsletter, contains information on upcoming senior activities, a devotion, prayer requests, birthdays and anniversaries of members, Heaven's Heart Choir information, as well as opportunities to reach out and minister to individuals through mission opportunities.


The Heaven's Heart Choir meets every Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall, except on the second Monday of every month, which is our fellowship day.  Choir rehearsals are cancelled on major holidays and at other times with advance notice.  Current information is posted in the monthly newsletter, Heaven's Heartbeat.  No previous musical experience is necessary.  The repertoire ranges from traditional hymn arrangements to some contemporary praise songs in SATB format (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass).  The choir often presents special musical presentations throughout the year, as well as performances at various nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the area.  Singers do not need to be members of Macedonia Baptist Church to be a part of the group.  Seniors in the surrounding community are welcome as well.  For more information on the Heaven's Heart Choir, contact the MBC Church office at (919) 851-3216 and address your questions to Denise Walker, Director of the Heaven's Heart Choir.
